Songs in WhatsApp statuses? Here's how

Discover how to put music on WhatsApp status in a simple way!

Announcements

Putting music on your WhatsApp status can be a bit more of a challenge than on other popular platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Unlike these networks, WhatsApp does not yet have a specific function to add music directly to Status through stickers or other integrated tools.

But there are some tricks you can use to get around this limitation and share your favorite music with your contacts.

To add music to your WhatsApp status, you will need an extra tool, as WhatsApp does not offer a direct way to do this.

It could be a video editor, a function of the music service you use or even recording your cell phone screen while music is playing.

With music playing in the background

Do you want to put music in your WhatsApp stories? It's simple! You just need to record a video while music plays on your phone.

Here are the steps:

  1. Open a music app (such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, YouTube Music, etc.);
  2. Choose a song and let it play on your cell phone;
  3. Open WhatsApp while music is playing;
  4. Tap “Status”;
  5. Select the camera icon;
  6. Record the video;
  7. Post it on your status and that's it!

With screen recording

To share an image with sound on your WhatsApp Status, you can record your cell phone screen while the music is playing. There's no mistake about this!

Here are the steps:

On Android:

  1. Open the image you want to share in Status;
  2. Tap play on your favorite song;
  3. Swipe the screen down twice;
  4. Choose “Screen Recorder”;
  5. Select “Device audio”;
  6. Start recording;
  7. Upload the video to your WhatsApp Status.

On iOS:

  1. Play the music you want;
  2. Open the image you want to share;
  3. Access the Control Center;
  4. Tap the screen recording icon;
  5. Post the result on your WhatsApp Status.

Anyway, adding music to your WhatsApp status may seem a little complicated at first glance, especially since the app doesn't offer a dedicated function for this.

However, there are several creative ways to get around this limitation and share your favorite music with your contacts. You can use simple tricks like recording a video while music plays in the background or recording your phone screen while music is playing.

Additionally, if you are a Spotify user, you can easily share song, album, and playlist links directly to your Status.

Another option is to use a video editor like CapCut to add music to your videos before posting them as Status.

Com essas dicas, você pode personalizar seus Status do WhatsApp com suas músicas preferidas e compartilhar seus momentos com seus amigos de forma única e divertida!
