Step by step to check your balance
Find out how to check your Citizen Card balance online, right from the comfort of your own home, without having to call anyone.
Caixa Econômica Federal has a website to facilitate this process.
1. Go to the official website:
Open the search bar in your browser and search for "portal cidadão caixa login" on Google. When the search is complete, click on the first link.
2. Click on the appropriate button:
When the page opens, click on the orange button called "Access the Portal".
3. Log in:
Enter your CPF number correctly to start the login process. Enter it in the field provided and confirm by clicking on "Next". If you haven't registered yet, click on "Register" to create a profile and access your information.
4. Request the code:
The platform will send a security code to the e-mail address registered in your profile. Check that the e-mail is correct and click on "Receive code".
5. Enter the code:
When you receive the code by e-mail or text message, copy the numbers and paste them into the field indicated. Confirm the information by clicking on "Send".
6. Choose the government program:
Various social benefit options will be displayed on the page. Scroll to the bottom to access them.
