However, it was overtaken by \"The Clone\" in 2001, which sold to 90 countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly, \"O Clone\" had a Spanish-language adaptation for American TV, and years later, \"Da Cor do Pecado\" reached the impressive mark of 100 territories, consolidating Brazil's leadership in the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, soap opera production is a global reality, with countries like Turkey and Mexico standing out, especially in Latin America and Eastern Europe.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, Brazilian soap operas have maintained their supremacy, reaching more than 150 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>5 internationally recognized Brazilian soap operas<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>1- \"Caminho das \u00cdndias\" (2009)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This soap opera, written by Gl\u00f3ria Perez, made history by being the first Brazilian production to win an International Emmy. Broadcast in 118 countries, it stood out mainly in Europe, Africa and Asia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Mexico, it aired under the title \"Indias\" on TV Azteca. The plot takes place between Brazil and India, revolving around the forbidden romance of Maya Meetha (Juliana Paes) and Bahuan (M\u00e1rcio Garcia), from different castes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maya ends up marrying Raj (Rodrigo Lombardi), being pregnant with Bahuan, but falls in love with her husband.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2- \"A Vida da Gente\" (2011)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Created by L\u00edcia Manzo, this soap opera reached third place in exports and was shown in 113 countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2015, it was chosen by the Spanish newspaper \"20 minutos\" as one of the best Brazilian telenovelas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plot explores the love triangle between sisters Ana (Fernanda Vasconcelos) and Manu (Marjorie Estiano) and Rodrigo (Rafael Cardoso), their stepbrother.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>3- \"Totalmente Demais\" (2016)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-927\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-927 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"novelas brasileiras\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-711x400.jpg 711w, https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575-100x56.jpg 100w, https:\/\/jornalpopular.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/11575.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Google Images<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This soap opera, written by Rosane Svartman and Paulo Halm, gained international popularity and was the second best-seller.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the story of Eliza (Marina Ruy Barbosa), who flees to Rio de Janeiro and ends up taking part in a fashion contest, it was broadcast in more than 135 countries and was the first Brazilian soap opera shown in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>4- \"Secret Truths\" (2015)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winner of the International Emmy in 2016, this work by Walcyr Carrasco was an export success, reaching more than 75 countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plot, which revolves around the backstage of the fashion industry, has garnered high ratings in countries such as Mexico, Argentina and Portugal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>5- \"Avenida Brasil\" (2012)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This soap opera by Jo\u00e3o Emanuel Carneiro, sold to 130 countries and dubbed into 19 languages, tells the story of the revenge of Rita, known as Nina (D\u00e9bora Falabella), against her stepmother Carminha (Adriana Esteves).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The show achieved high ratings internationally and featured a stellar cast, including Cau\u00e3 Reymond and Alexandre Borges.
