With it, you can identify plants and animals around you using your phone's camera. It not only tells you which species it is, but also provides information about the characteristics and curiosities of the living being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can even earn badges by searching for new species and taking part in challenges. Best of all, Seek is safe for children, with no need to register and no collection of user data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was developed by a team from the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society and uses information from iNaturalist.org. And the best thing is that the app is free for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. PlantNet<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

PlantNet is an application that specializes in identifying plants that are not ornamental or cultivated.\u00a0<\/span>It has a database that helps automatically identify the plants you photograph.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The system analyzes the image and tells you which species it is. You can download the app on both Android and iPhone (iOS).<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Flora Incognita<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

The Flora Incognita app is a godsend for anyone who loves botany. As well as identifying plants, it throws a lot of useful information in your lap, such as whether the plant is poisonous, what its special characteristics are, where you can find it and even whether it's in danger.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The app has a database of over 4,800 species and more than 10,000 images, but be warned, it focuses on plants from Central Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it doesn't stop there! With Flora Inc\u00f3gnita, you can create lists of the plants you discover and even export them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
