This document applies to both social security and labor law, serving as a guarantee that workers will receive all the rights established in the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT).
It is important to highlight that completing this form is mandatory whenever a hiring occurs under the CLT (Brazilian labor law) regime, whether by private companies, outsourced companies, or temporary service providers.
How does the Digital Work Card work?
It complies with the guidelines established in Ordinance No. 1,065/2019, issued by the Special Secretariat for Social Security and Labor, belonging to the Ministry of Economy.
This regulation establishes a detailed set of guidelines for the operation of the document in electronic format.
The regulation establishes that all Brazilian citizens registered in the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) are eligible to obtain this document.
The document is already available, and the worker simply needs to enable it to start monitoring their information. This can be done through the government website or by using the app on their mobile device.
The Digital Work Card operates similarly for employers, who can continue to record hiring, termination, and other information using the internet and the employee's CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID).

Issuance of the Digital Work Card
The Digital Work Card can be obtained free of charge via the internet, using a mobile phone or computer.
To do this, workers can download the Digital Work and Social Security Card (CTPS Digital) app to their mobile device, available in app stores for Android or iOS smartphones. Simply search for the government app and download it.
Those who do not have a cell phone can access the Digital Work Card through the website, by logging into their account or registering at acesso.gov.br.
The Ministry of Economy provides a step-by-step guide so that everyone can obtain the document easily, either through the app or from a computer connected to the internet.
Problems with Driver's License
If you have difficulty obtaining your access password via the internet or the app, you need to contact your bank.
You can resolve this issue by going to a Ministry of Economy office or a Banco do Brasil branch.
Another option is to use the ATMs of Caixa Econômica Federal.
Correct Data Change
If there is incorrect information related to nationality, full name, mother's name, gender, or date of birth, it is possible to correct this information by requesting the correction from the Federal Revenue Service.
