Do you know Bolsa Permanência Program (PBP)? Which offers up to 10,000 scholarships, according to the Ministry of Education's (MEC) Ordinance 09/2023. 

There are several scholarships in the program, aimed at students enrolled in face-to-face undergraduate courses offered by Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IFES) and who are already registered in the Bolsa Permanência Management System.

What is the Bolsa Permanência Program?

This is a government initiative that aims to provide financial support to students.

Especially those belonging to quilombola and indigenous communities and those in situations of socio-economic vulnerability who are enrolled in federal higher education institutions. 

The main objective is make it easier for these students to stay at university and ensure that they can successfully complete their courses.

This measure aims to provide essential financial support, contributing to equal access to higher education and the achievement of the beneficiaries' academic goals.

How does this aid work?

To participate in the Bolsa Permanência Program, you need to access the Bolsa Permanência Management System (SISBP).

After registering, candidates must pay attention to the documents requested in the scholarship selection process.

Students who are in a situation of socio-economic vulnerability can apply for the Bolsa Permanência Program, with the necessary proof. 

The scholarship awarded to those selected will have a value of around R$ 900.

Who is entitled to the Bolsa Permanência?

According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education (MEC), the Bolsa Permanência benefit is intended for students who cumulatively meet the following criteria:

1. Family income: Per capita family income must not exceed 1.5 minimum wages, except for indigenous or quilombola students;

2. Enrollment in Undergraduate Courses: You must be enrolled in an undergraduate course with an average workload of five hours a day or more, with the exception of indigenous or quilombola students;

3. Progress through the course: The student may not exceed two semesters beyond the regular time of the degree course in order to obtain the diploma;

4. Formal commitment: You must sign the Term of Commitment;

5. Approval and Homologation: Registration must be duly approved and approved monthly by the federal higher education institution through the program's information system.

By fulfilling these conditions, the student can access the Permanence Scholarship, contributing to their permanence and academic success.
