Too many ads. Watching a 1 hour show, there's 6 - 8 minutes of ads, maybe more, any more I usually look at another device during the ads. Also, if the phone falls asleep during the movie (or maybe the movie is paused while I take a call), when you resume the movie, many times the app restarts it back at the beginning - complete with some ads of course...

The addition of unskippable ads in a paid service will always be a point of contention for me. They're not offering an "upgrade" to ad-free. They simply downgraded what you're paying for and are now asking for you to pay more for what you had previously. Even after upgrading to the ad-free plan guess what? They still give you ads. They're just able to be skipped now.

Amazon's decision to add ads to Prime Video—unless users pay an extra $2.99/month—is a shameless cash grab. Prime members already pay for the service, and now Amazon is double-dipping, degrading the experience with intrusive, unskippable ads. This bait-and-switch move strips away a key benefit of Prime, pushing users to pay more just to get back what they originally signed up for. It’s a greedy, anti-consumer decision that makes Prime Video far less valuable.
